Hy-Brid Lifts QR Codes

6/21/23

In an era of ever-changing technology, it’s becoming easier to deliver information directly into the hands of consumers via web-enabled mobile phones. The launch of QR codes in 1994 further encouraged this movement, but they were not widely accepted by mobile phone manufacturers until recently. These advancements make the delivery of crucial Hy-Brid Lifts technical documents, machine troubleshooting, and communication more streamlined than ever.

QR Codes for Scissor Lifts

Implemented in mid-2020, each Hy-Brid Lift manufactured has two QR decals, one placed on the manual box and the second located near the lower controls. Scanning the QR codes bring users to a mobile friendly landing page where they can select what information is needed.

Series information decals can be used to quickly access model-specific information on your mobile device, such as:

  • Product manuals
  • Pre-start inspection
  • Emergency lowering information
  • Product specifications
  • Familiarization

Service Information Hub

Service technicians find these QR codes to be extremely useful. Manuals placed in machines often tend to be misplaced, get dirty, or become incomplete after a few years of field use. Utilizing QR codes enable techs to have 24/7 access to the information they need to properly troubleshoot machines in a timely manner. The Hy-Brid Lifts service team took QR codes one step further. These landing pages have an option to start a service ticket with the service team. Once the down machine information has been submitted, the ticket is placed in a queue for review and a live tech will respond with the corresponding troubleshooting scheme.

In addition to technical support, our QR code landing pages also provide vital technical information. These specifications include, but are not limited to, floor loads, capacities, machines dimensions, operating hydraulic pressures, and much more. While the specifications are important to understand for all applications, there are also links to emergency lowering procedures and familiarization for all users in an easy-to-follow mobile format.

Despite how quickly QR code technology has gained ground over the last couple years, few companies have adopted this tool at the level present on all Hy-Brid Lift machines. With so much information available in a simple scan, service technicians and operators can find the answers they need while saving previous labor hours.
