Experience Total Control with Zero-Turn Series Lifts

07/10/2019

Hy-Brid Lifts Zero-Turn Series work platforms are designed to provide operators with a greater amount of control over drive, lift, and maneuverability on jobsites. Packed with unique features like an industry-leading drive system, these scissor lifts enable operators to be more productive and safely work at height in areas previously only accessible with ladders.

Zero-Turn Lift Creeping through jobsite

"Creep" Around the Jobsite

Although construction sites differ from location to location, most jobsites are fairly complex. Mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) operators are likely to encounter narrow hallways, drywall surfaces, power cords, and other lift operators. One drive speed simply does not provide the control needed to maneuver the work platform in a way that minimizes damage, inspires confidence, and increases operator productivity. All Zero-Turn Series work platforms come with fully proportional drive and lift. This unique feature allows operators to "creep" into position while at height. Electric drive also provides a smoother ride, eliminating jerky movements traditionally found in hydraulic powered scissor slabs.

Better-Than-Zero Turn System

The Hy-Brid Lifts Zero-Turn Series zero-turn system is different than the turn radius on standard mast style lifts. This is because the Hy-Brid Lifts zero-turn system is actually a subzero-turn function, meaning the series' turning radius is less than zero. Unlike standard mast style lifts, the rear wheels on Hy-Brid Lifts are the drive wheels. When operators move the fully orbital joystick left or right, the back wheels rotate in opposite directions. This enables the work platform to pivot at a 90-degree angle. Traditional mast style lifts feature the drive wheels in the front of the machine, operating them with standard joystick controls.

Zero Turn Lift vs. Mast Lift Stability

Maximum Grip, Maximum Control

Our proprietary drive system utilizes two unique features to inspire operator confidence. The rear wheels on the Zero-Turn Series are connected to a live axle that oscillates to meet the demands of modern job sites. This ensures the drive wheels are always in contact with the ground, providing improved steering and industry-leading stability when stowed and at height.

Controls You Can Take to the Bank

Why did Hy-Brid Lifts build a lift series with unique controls? Productivity. It's difficult enough for oeprators to navigate narrow hallways, tight corners, and small spaces with a compact scissor lift, let alone traditionally sluggish and bulkier machines. When compounded over time, these movements can cost companies thousands of dollars and translate to overbudget projects. We believe the time it takes to maneuver a MEWP into place should be less than the time it takes to complete the task on a jobsite.

Zero-Turn Series controls provide freedom of movement that's extremely intuitive and similar to the way we move as humans. These controls enable scissor lift operators to become more familiar with machines faster and accomplish their tasks at industry-leading rates.
