Fuse Replacement on all HB 1430 & HB 1030 Hy-Brid Scissor Lifts.

Custom Equipment has recognized that some units have been shipped with 10amp fuses, installed in the yellow fuse holder, located near the hydraulic pump.

Engineering has determined that the fuse size can be increased to either an AGC20 or SFE20 amp, to prevent the premature fuse failure due to customers having the front wheels restricted against a wall or in a hole. This increase will not compromise the system in any way.

A program should be implemented by your service department to track the units that have been inspected and updated through regular inspection or rental check-out. What I recommend to do is draw about a one inch black permanent marker line on the yellow fuse holder, after the fuse has been checked and revised. When batteries are being checked, the line will alert the technician that this has been done. This will prevent service calls due to blown fuses. Custom Equipment will allow Dealers to install circuit breakers in place of the 20 amp fuse at their own expense.

Warranty claims submitted for blown fuses will be denied. Fuses are designed to fail when a system is pushed beyond its designed limitations.
